Youth Protection Training
BSA has mandated that all registered Adult Leaders complete a new Youth Protection Training (YPT) course by Sept. 30, 2018. Everyone must complete the new training regardless of when you last completed the old YPT training.
It is especially important that the new YPT be completed as soon as possible since any training that goes past due not only affects a leader’s ability to participate in Scouting activities but also affects the Pack’s ability to complete the annual rechartering process at the end of 2018. The Pack cannot recharter any Adult Leader who has not completed the new YPT.
The new course consists of three modules with approximately one hour of content and a 25-question assessment. You need to score 75% to pass the course. The course can be taken in parts — I recommend completing each module before taking a break to make sure the system accurately tracks your progress.
Please complete the training as soon as possible, but no later than Sept. 1, 2018, to ensure that we do not encounter any issues with the Pack Charter.
Start by logging in at https://my.scouting.org/. Once completed, BSA will email your certificate. Please send the certificate to cubmaster@pack180.org.
Thanks,
Roy Lewis
